GUILD

guild – / gild / noun

An association of craftspeople organized to maintain standards and to protect the interests of its members.

The Guild is a community of the best cybersecurity practicioners today.  We’ve come together to change the industry and defend what’s important.

THE COMMUNITY YOU WANTED BUT NEVER KNEW EXISTED.

The Neon Temple is a membership-based organization of information technology and cybersecurity professionals who all agree on one thing:

What the industry is doing right now isn’t working.

Like the guilds of old, the collective experience of our members is the foundation of our community. We leverage that foundation to elevate those around us. We are SOC analystis, penetration testers, programmers, 80s Wardialers, CISO’s, and even the occasional intelligence collector or federal agent.

Our members vary from novies just getting started, to seasoned veterans who’ve been in the trenches since before the word “cyber” was invented.  We care about cybersecurity, national security, and the right to privacy.  Our comunity aims to spread our message and mentality globally.

As a guild, we:

– Provide mentorship to those in need

– Training for those seeking it

– Nurture the hacker mindset

– Thrive off of and seek competition

The Neon Temple invites you to join us as we change the status quo and empower the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Suits and hoodies are both welcome, silos aren’t.

Come as you are.

Apprentice

For the new heart and the eager spirit. Apprentices are students, self-learners, and the ultra-curious. Perhaps you are a student, or beginning your career in another field but have a passion for cybersecurity. There are dozens of distinct career paths within information security with hundreds of variations. The road to paying your dues is tough and not for the faint of heart – but you don’t care because you’re just what the industry needs and you’re willing to work and learn until everyone else knows it.

Journeyman

Have hax, will travel. You''ve got the fundamentals down and have the job and certs to prove it. You might even have a couple of CTF wins under your belt. You understand that while bad actors are one adversary, the more common vulnerability are humans who lack the knowledge or skills to protect themselves or their businesses. You want to change the equation. You want to be that on-ramp to getting others into your industry and are willing to do it. You not only have the passion, but you have some of the pedigree too.

Master

Yeah, I did that fifteen years ago... You are a master of your craft with the scars to prove it. Your subject matter expertise and real-world experience are only a few of the arrows in your quiver. You have highly developed technical and soft skills with the combined knowledge to win the game. You continue to embrace the need to evolve with the threat landscape. The desire to give back and share your knowledge with the next generation of cyber professionals matters to you.
